Players tried hard but to no avail in the end

Wests Tigers Head Coach Tim Sheens says his players tried hard but made too many mistakes in the 26-6 loss to the Melbourne Storm at Leichhardt Oval tonight.
“They were just too proficient in finishing us off. Their kicking game was spot on. The finishing of our sets was poor and the finishing off theirs was much better,’’ he added.
Sheens said the past two losses were hard to take for the team after a mixed season.
“We have been in the eight for most of the season. The last two weeks has been very disappointing for us and for our fans,’’ he said.
“It is something we are really going to have to address in the off season.”
